Here at Interior Addict we offer a fantastic collection of contemporary chairs and furniture inspired by Danish designer, Hans J Wegner.
The Dane is connected to many other leading contemporary furniture designers through his working practice; he worked as a designer in Arne Jacobsen's architectural practice between 1938 and 1942, and when he set up his own office ended up collaborating with Borge Mogensen .
Hans J Wegner originally trained as a cabinet-maker and went on to attend the Copenhagen School of Arts and Crafts, where he later lectured from 1946 to 1953, alongside his design work. His impressive body of work includes furniture designs exclusively for Johannes Hansen and Fritz Hansen and the Royal Society of Arts, London made him an Honorary Royal Designers for Industry in 1959.
